The XVision System

RoundUP Productions' XVision System is a sophisticated and highly flexible monitoring and reporting system.  Using state-of-the-art machine vision and other technologies, the system uninvasively tracks, analyzes, and acts on complex data and processes.

The XVision System has been architected to function over extremely low bandwidth networks.  To achieve this, the majority of image and data processing is done within each XNode and the status/location update of a tracked object is sent to the XVision Server via ethernet or wirelessly.

Via a standard web browser, authorized workers and managers can customize the type and amount of information they receive from the system, which can be delivered in 2D HTML or 3D VRML.  Notification of specific events is delivered through a variety of  mechanisms: phone, web, email, pager, sms, or fax.  Depending upon network capabilities, XNodes can capture and send still and video images to assigned users.

XVision System Overview

XVision Server gathers data from numerous XNodes and compiles the information into a single graphical representation, viewable on authorized users' web browsers.  XVision Server also assigns specific job tasks and licensing functions for all system XNodes.

The XVision Server operates on multiple platforms: Linux, Irix (both big and little endian) and Win2K.
